Gambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, H.E. Sering Modou Njie, has welcomed H.E. Katrin Mรฅnsson, the Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of The Gambia, today during the presentation of her Letters of Credence.
In his remarks, Minister Njie congratulated Ambassador Mรฅnsson on her appointment and reiterated the Government of The Gambia’s commitment to strengthening the long-standing and cordial relations between The Gambia and Sweden.
He emphasized The Gambia’s readiness to collaborate closely with the Ambassador-Designate to enhance cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, energy, education, and capacity-building programs.
Ambassador Mรฅnsson expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception she received and communicated the Government of Sweden’s dedication to further strengthening the strong and friendly partnership between the two countries.
She underscored the importance of sustained bilateral cooperation and collaboration at the multilateral level, especially concerning pressing regional and global issues of mutual interest.
The Ambassador also reaffirmed Swedenโs support for constructive engagement in international forums to promote peace, sustainable development, and shared global priorities.
The presentation of the Letters of Credence marks a significant step in further consolidating the friendly relations between The Gambia and the Kingdom of Sweden.
