On the sidelines of the 39th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly, the Honorable Sering Modou Njie, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad of the Republic of The Gambia, held a meeting with H.E. Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Their discussions centered on strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing economic cooperation, and increasing trade and investment, with a particular focus on engaging the private sector.
Egypt reaffirmed its commitment to supporting The Gambia in key sectors, including construction, energy, infrastructure, capacity building, and security cooperation.
Additionally, both ministers exchanged perspectives on regional developments, especially in the Sahel region, and agreed to maintain close coordination to advance their shared interests and promote peace, stability, and sustainable development.
