The Ministry of Health recently received critical life-saving medical supplies, donated by the Government of Japan through UNICEF Gambia, during a handover ceremony held in Banjul.
The Ministry emphasized that this support is timely and vital, as it enhances the country’s health system by improving access to essential supplies, including Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), which is crucial for saving lives, especially among women, children, and vulnerable populations.
This donation exemplifies the strong partnership among the Government of The Gambia, the Government of Japan, and UNICEF in promoting quality healthcare delivery and strengthening health system resilience.
