Hon. Serigne Modou Njie, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad of the Republic of The Gambia, has held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Josรฉ Luรญs Livramento de Brito, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Regional Integration of Cabo Verde.
The discussion took place during the 39th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The discussions focused on several areas of mutual interest, including tourism development, digital transformation, business and investment opportunities, energy cooperation, and other strategic sectors with significant potential for partnership.
Both parties emphasized the importance of encouraging private sector involvement, promoting innovation, and strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
The meeting reaffirmed The Gambia and Cabo Verde’s shared commitment to deepening bilateral relations and exploring practical avenues for collaboration that contribute to sustainable growth and regional integration.
